17 years ago – on 8 February 2008 – the Sovereign Order of Malta and Ukraine, wishing to develop and reinforce bilateral cooperation, established official diplomatic relations at the level of ambassadors. Today’s date continues to testify to the traditionally friendly relations between the Order of Malta and Ukraine, relations that, due to historical circumstances, have been linked since the distant 17th century.
In this times of challenges, the Sovereign Order of Malta continues its mission in Ukraine, and continues to help and support Ukrainians suffering from war, in accordance with the Order’s motto Tuitio Fidei et obsequium pauperum.
