On 7th of February 2025, the Ambassador of the Sovereign Order of Malta to Ukraine, Dean of the Diplomatic Corps accredited to Ukraine, Antonio Gazzanti Pugliese di Cotrone, met with the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Oleksandr Mischenko.
The meeting took place on the eve of the 17th anniversary of the establishment of official diplomatic relations between the Sovereign Order of Malta and Ukraine.
During the meeting, Ambassador Gazzanti Pugliese di Cotrone informed the Deputy Minister about the humanitarian and social projects implemented by the Sovereign Order of Malta and its structures in Ukraine since the full-scale military invasion and assured that the Order of Malta will continue to support the most needy groups of Ukrainian population.
From his side, Oleksandr Mischenko thanked for the humanitarian assistance provided to Ukraine by the structures of the Order of Malta, in particular in the social, educational and medical spheres. Particular gratitude was expressed for the organization and implementation of a first aid training course for the employees of the central office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
Both sides discussed the possibility of implementing joint projects in 2025.
As the Dean of the Diplomatic Corps accredited in Ukraine, Ambassador Gazzanti Pugliese di Cotrone presented to the Deputy Ministers some issues on behalf of the Diplomatic Corp accredited to Ukraine.
