16 years ago – on 8th of February 2008 – the Sovereign Order of Malta and Ukraine, in order to develop and strengthen bilateral cooperation, established official diplomatic relations at the level of ambassadors.
Today’s date continues to mark the traditionally friendly relations between the Order of Malta and Ukraine, that, according to the historical facts, have been linked since the distant 17th century.
In this challenging and difficult time, the Sovereign Order of Malta continues its mission in Ukraine, by assisting and helping Ukrainians suffering from war, in accordance with the Order’s ancient motto “Tuitio Fidei et obsequium pauperum” (Defence of the faith and assistance to the poor).
