On 9th of February 2024 – Ambassador of the Sovereign Order of Malta to Ukraine H.E. Antonio Gazzanti Pugliese di Cotrone held a working meeting with the Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration for Social, Veterans, Gender Policy, Children’s Rights and Tourism, Mrs. Maryna Honda.
During the meeting, H.E. Gazzanti Pugliese di Cotrone presented the activities of the Sovereign Order of Malta in Ukraine since the outbreak of full-scale military operations, including the humanitarian assistance provided by the Order, as well as medical and psychological support and other projects implemented by the Malteser Relief Service of Ukraine.
In her turn, Mrs. Maryna Honda expressed her gratitude to the Sovereign Order of Malta for the humanitarian assistance provided, highlighting in particular the installation of a playground with a soft surface at the Kyiv City Centre for Social Support of Children and Families in the city of Vorzel near Kyiv.
Mrs. Khonda also briefed the Ambassador on the needs faced by children, persons with disabilities and internally displaced persons. In this context, the possibility of joint implementation of projects in the humanitarian and social spheres was discussed.
