The Embassy of the Sovereign Order of Malta in Ukraine deeply mourns the the death of Oleksandr Savchak, an active volunteer, a participant of many international camps and rehabilitation projects for people with disabilities organized by the Malteser Relief Service.

Oleksandr was killed while defending Ukraine in the Serebrianka forest, in the Luhansk region. The soldier was 40 years old, and his last mission was to evacuate his wounded comrades.
