On 13th of April, Counsellor of the Embassy of the Sovereign Order of Malta to Ukraine Mr. Andriy Khanas attended the third formation course for members of the Grand Priory of Lombardy and Venice, where he made a presentation on “Vocation, charism and humanitarian diplomacy of the Sovereign Order of Malta in the context of the war in Ukraine“.
The event was held at the Doge’s Palace in Genova (Italy).
Mr. Khanas’s report presented the situation in Ukraine caused by the war, which has been going on for the tenth year, the activities of the Order in general and of the Malteser Relief Service of Ukraine in particular, as well as the needs of the Ukrainian population.
Other speakers were His Eminence Gianfranco Ghirlanda, Cardinal-Patron of the Order of Malta, Clemente Riva Di Sanseverino, Member of the Sovereign Council of the Order, Benedetto Barberini, President of the Italian Relief Corps of the Order of Malta (CISOM).
