On 5th of April 2024 – Ambassador of the Sovereign Order of Malta to Ukraine, H.E. Antonio Gazzanti Pugliese di Cotrone, met with the Head of the State Service of Ukraine for Ethnic Policy and Freedom of Conscience Mr. Viktor Yelenskyi.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the situation in Ukraine, in particular the protection of freedom of religion and belief in the context of a full-scale war and the challenges for the global religious community that the war raises. The possibility of implementing humanitarian and social projects, aimed at helping Ukrainian people affected by the war were also discussed.
In conclusion, several ways of further cooperation were outlined.
